Description
Cal Barbut is situated in the Catalan Pyrenees, 110 km from Barcelona and 18 km from Berga. Berga is the entrance town to the Mountains when heading for Andorra and the Túnel del Cadí. Cal Barbut is part of the municipality of Figols, but located 2 km from the village in direction of Fumanya. See map below.
Situated at 1400 m of altitude, the climate is pleasant, avoiding the immense heat of the summer, but also the most severe winter climate. Cal Barbut faces south and is sheltered from the cool winds of the Pyrenees to the North. Average temperature in summer is 25 °C, and in the spring and autumn average of 15 °C.
Cal Barbut means ‘the house of the bearded man’ and can be dated back to the late 1700. Cal Barbut in its present form was constructed between 1994-2001. The rustic charm of the rural farmhouse is maintained, but now equipped with modern facilities. The ground is 120.000 m² and is fully available to our guests.
